![]() Then I rebooted my machine (a macbook pro mid 2012) and booted into my regular Linux Mint (the one sitting on a partition of the HDD) and the trackpad stopped working. Then we decided to stick the flash drive into my machine, and it worked just fine! I was able to boot into Live Linux Mint and use it as if everything were fine. The laptop wouldn't detect the USB flash drive (flashed with balena etcher). ![]() The other day (a few weeks ago) I was helping a friend get Mint on his machine (a windows laptop) and we just couldn't do it. I have been using linux mint for almost a year now and it has been flawless.except until recently. This is my first time posting on the forums, so I apologize if my question is not clear enough or straight up in the wrong part of the forums.įirst of all, thanks to all of you for being awesome people-the developers that make Mint happen, the people answering questions, the people who write the docs-you are all wonderful!Īnyway, a couple of months ago I decided to install linux on my machine because I'm a CS student and wanted to dive into the world of linux a bit more! I stumbled upon linux mint! And it is an awesome OS!! Snappy, stable and secure.
